collegeFreemasonry and College Fraternities

By: David E. Stafford

There has long been interest in the role Freemasonry played in organizing and supporting college fraternities. David E. Stafford wrote an article titled, "Freemasonry and the Development of Greek Letter Fraternities," published in the Fall 2006—The Plumbline— quarterly bulletin of the Scottish Rite Research Society. The entire article is highly recommended for your reading because it contains more detailed history than could be included in this Short Talk Bulletin, which had to be edited because of space limitations.

Bro. Stafford is a Past Master and current Secretary ofBethpage Lodge #521, Bethpage, TN.
